It would be great if it were possible to already decide when creating a task at what moment it should become ‘starred as next action’

I think of the start date as a “defer until” date. The Total Relaxed Organization model depends on this. This would be a great feature.

and make it mirror the google calendar detail input options.

this way it makes it easier going between the two.

+1 – This is key – because I don’t want to see a task till I need to worry about it, so I end up having to implement a hack.
