Update Nozbe Tasks using Siri

Dean   Wednesday, November 30

Have I missed the message somewhere?
How do I send tasks (not notes) to Nozbe using Siri?
Surely I don’t have to dictate asterisks?

I don’t think this is possible … yet. I can’t event get Siri to understand “Nozbe” as a word, never mind send tasks to it. Hopefully this is on the drawing board?

Siri has not yet released API thus integrations with it are not yet possible. We would love to have it, but until this is out there is not much that can be done.

Why does Omnifocus interact with Siri ?

Remember the Milk also supports this: it can definitely be done without an official API.

Guys – try this. Add your Nozbe address as an email for your contact info – but name it “Productivity” or “Inbox” or something similar – as Siri won’t understand Nozbe. Then, you can ask Siri to write an email to ‘Your Name’ and say, “Star Space [Task]”. It’ll ask which address to which you can respond ‘Inbox’. It should work.

@Tristan
I have passed your link to our tech team. I’m sorry but I can’t provide you with a response until I hear from them.

I would love siri integration too.

Someone created a simple caldav server which allows Apple reminders to be synced to google tasks.

https://github.com/matthewbauer/caldav-to-gtasks/

It is straightforward to modify this code to write to the Nozbe API, or to send the incoming reminders as emails to your nozbe input address and thus avoid authentication concerns.

Only catch is that you have to maintain and secure a (simple) webserver, which I don’t have time to do on an ongoing basis…
