Combinding the multi-input with the single input task input UI box would proomote us to clear our head using nozbe more often.
consider some keyboard short cut that would simaltaneously skip to the next line of the multi input task box as it opens the muti add box from the
something like space bar+enter would be perfect
or enter+A allowing us to jump right into “mind dump mode”
Otherwise you could set it up differently
where you havethe beyboard shortcut focus box focused on an internal box located inside the task input line.
by hitting space bar when the internal box is in focus we could have it convert to the multi add task input box.
if we have it focused on the external box, we could hit space bar to have the task added to the next actions list.

default upon clicking on “new task”

1. The biggie. I have to use the mouse to a) select New Action, b) select options, c) click on each option in turn to choose Starred, Context, Time estimate, Due date (and a truly horrible pair of sliders if I want to set a time) and Repeat. I’m happiest using a keyboard, and all that mouse clicking slows me down to the point of completely getting in the way of productivity. I could work around it to some extent by using the iNozbe page, but there are a number of bugs with the date field, not all fields are available, and I need to switch between windows to get back to the standard Nozbe page for a decent view of my actions. So, to get me using Nozbe again, I’d need a comprehensive set of Keyboard Shortcuts to add and update tasks and projects, including auto-complete for all pre-existing info (contexts, projects, etc.), plain English dates (today, tomorrow, Monday, next month, etc.)
in response to this – copying RTM’s smart add task input feature would be great – as well as finding a way to combind it with defualt multi add features – it would get around the issue of having to click through to add details and would allow us to empty our head effectivley.
It currently takes 3 seperate clicks to reach a point where we could effectivley mind dump and declutter our mind using nozbe.
given the simple fact that david allen stressed in his book just having a good pen that we loved as if there was any reason we didnt like it or were uncomfortable with it – the likley hood of us capturing our thoughts went down significantly.
thus a combination approach is neccesary – or at least a way to keep the multi add as default.
