Please forgive a brief background: I’ve download and tried ToDo, Toodledo, HD Informant, Taska, 2do, and several others I can’t even remember now.
I’m exhausted. I’m still borderline OCD, but now I’m the other side of the border. I think I’ll stick with Nozbe, but have two questions that I hope this group can help me with…
1) 99% of my use is on the IPAD. Nozbe on the IPAD is a Macoscope/Nozbe partnership. Is Nozbe as committed to the Ipad as it is to the web?
2) The Ipad app seems buggy, but it might be sync issues. After searching here, I’ve purged the app data and synced from the web…but labels done on the ipad seem to appear and disappear. Manual sorts appear to unwind by themselves, etc. The last thing I need from a task management program is a sense of vertigo…
Do you think Nozbe will be in at the finish of the Oklahoma land rush that is task management on the IPAD?
Comments:
I understand your frustration – I am sharing the same feelings and have tried several other apps too. I had to chuckle at the OCD comments as it his too close to home.
For the time being, I have decided to sit down and “patiently” see what develops at Nozbe. The banter about the Android app has been frustrating and caused me to look elsewhere, but I have found myself attached to Nozbe iPad app. I believe it is the most promising but needs some tweaks that have been suggested multiple times in these forums. I will see what happens by the end of the first quarter of 2011 before a decision to bail on Nozbe is made due to their teasing the customer base with promises.
Hello Mark and all others,
Our partner is very much committed to improving the application constantly as all they take all the income from it. To put it bluntly it is one of their main sources of income and they realize that good service of those applications is essential to their own stability especially in those insecure times.
As for your issue with the synchronizations as you say. I would greatly appreciate if anyone with such problems would email us at questions@nozbe.com.
My side note here is that many tend to forget on the iOS 4.0 that the application runs in background and e.g. removal of completed items is based not only on synch but also on the restart of application. I’m not sure if completed are your issues, but this is by far the most popular issue and that’s why I mention it.
Once again please do email us descriptions of your issues. Also please do check in info of the application the build information as it might be essential to figuring our what is going on wrong there. Thank you.
I did find out something with the label function. Once a label isn’t used in any project, the webedition of Nozbe deletes this label. On the Ipad app a can add a label sepparatly. When there are no projects attached to this label, after synchronising with the Noze account, the new label disappaers. This coudl explain the appear and disappear op labels on ipad. Of course label handling on de webedition of Nozbe could be improvement.
I think Nozbe is a serous contender as soon as the dust settles. Michael’s dedication is amazing and as soon as they can offer a decent iPhone and iPad app it is bound for greatness.
Unfortunately, right now I can;t vouch for the mobile apps since I am on the verge of cancelling my account due to the poor performance of the iPhone app. Do you hear me Mochael and Delfina? Do you?
