The ability to force a sync when opening the iPhone app is a useful one, but even better would not have to be to have to open the app at all!
Very often I sit at my desk all day and add items via my laptop browser and then leave, forgetting to sync with my iPhone and therefore I don’t have new actions, etc., to hand.
Is there any way of ‘auto-polling’ the iPhone app, say every 5/10/15 mins and doing an auto-sync without even having to open the app?
Thanks,
Paul
Comments:
I tried activating the “auto sync” feature when the Nozbe iPhone app launches. The sync takes such a long time that it’s just not worth it. Is there a way to speed up sync or run it in the background, so that I don’t have to manually sync whenever I enter an action item?
Hello all,
When it comes to synch on iPhone and iPad I hear some changes are coming in the new update. Until now you on had the start-up synch but this has become a bit troublesome with implementation of iOS 4+ as result there will be some changes to that soon.
Sorry, scratch that! I’ve realised that unlike other iPhone apps that sync with a ‘desktop app’, Nozbe is online and therefore a sync can be achieved anywhere I have a phone signal or WiFi, so there’s no real advantage in polling, although I guess the iPhone 3.0 ‘Push’ functionality could be used to push data updated online to an iPhone?
