Hi all
I’ve mentioned this one before, but thought it could use a reiteration. Any plans for this in upcoming releases?
Being away from the office and having ALL of my next actions displayed, regardless of whether I can do them given my context, seriously muddies the mind water.
Displaying actions by context shows all actions regardless of whether they are “next” ones. I have to scroll through the whole list and move the starred actions to the top each time, then get to work.
Same goes for viewing actions by label.
For myself anyway it seems to make sense to me that the context and label viewing & filtering of next actions is something that is used in the day to day “doing” of stuff – where viewing actions that aren’t to do yet is of no use. I set the action to become a “next” one at review time, or when it’s created, but it’s usually done in the project view.
Thanks for your time
Geoff
Comments:
WE are aware and the feature is being planned. I will send extra note to the developer on this.
Label filtering of next actions is an OUTSTANDING feature on the web app. Providing it on the iPhone app would be WONDERFUL!
Thanks,
Mark
And iPad as well!
Double dittos.
Couldn’t agree more. Without this feature the iPhone app is virtually unusable in my opinion.
+1
Here again.. confirming that it will be on.. but I can’t squeeze out of Macoscope when.
I must admit that I’m somewhat disappointed with how Macoscope is doing with the iPhone app.
When their version was released it was obviously better than the awful Nozbe one, but was lacking in some areas, especially the filtering and lack of background syncing.
No problem, we were told, this is a great developer and there will be tons of updates and new features.
Wonder what happened to them?
@David. It is best I just copy your post for them and leave it uncommented.
This is critical for both desktop and mobile version. You must be able to filter the “next actions” list according to label. As I mentioned in another comment, your software is very close to being the perfect GTD app, but fundamental failures like this one ruin its utility. I keep coming back to try it because I so badly want it to be helpful. But it just isn’t.
