I had a lot of “Next Actions” (44) and wanted to reduce my list. So, I took the star designation away from about half of them. Then I synced my iPod.
On the iPod this new list remains. Online, the original 44 come back, no matter how many times I remove the star designation. The next time I log in there is my Next Actions list with 44 items. Even if I sync my iPod again anew.
Any ideas what I can do to change this? This is a recent problem and does not seem browser-specific.
Thanks!

Hello,
I agree with CLD’s comments 100%. I too have the same issue. I take the star designation away from the “next action” items and nothing happens! You’d expect them to go away the next time you log in online or sync with the iphone.
This is a bug and needs to be fixed soon.
Thanks!
I have consulted on this with out tech-team and they are afraid that it is a bug on the iPhone application part. That would be no surprise. I can only advice on reinstalling the application, using www.iNozbe.com or waiting for the release of the new application.
Hi There,
No, this is happening when I use the online version- it does not seem to be browser specific. I can remove the items using the laptop and then the next time I log in, the items are back in the “Next Actions” list. This does not seem to be related to the iPod.
I have already dumped and reinstalled Nozbe on the iPhone in case that was it, but this happens whether or not I’m using the iPod.
Help?!
Hi Delfina,
This problem exists in the online version. Not the iPhone version. Can you tell us when this will be resolved?
I “unstar” several actions on my “Next Actions” tab. The next morning, they show up once again. How do I make them go away?
I will sure inform the tech on this.
Please allow them a bit of time to recheck on it. It is possible that your problem is account-limited also, but we’ll do our best to get it solved.
I’m having this problem. I use firefox. Often, when I un-star an next-action, it isn’t remembered and if I refresh, or revisit the page, it’s back again
One question. Are you guys on the old iPhone application?
Hi Delfina,
Apologies, I just posted a new query on this same topic. It’s the same problem. I am using the new iPhone app, but this seems to happen on the online version independent of the iPhone.
PS. Delfina, if you want to discard that other thread, feel free. I didn’t see a way to do it myself. :-)
From the other thread:
When I make changes to my Next Action list, they don’t remain. Anyone else have this issue? For example, I can “un-star” items to cut down on my list and the next time I log in they’re back on the list… no matter how many times I remove them.
Also, when I re-order the list those changes don’t remain either.
Anyone dealt with this successfully? I keep trying!
CLD I do not have the ability to remove ‘doubled -up’ threads. That’s why I ask users so intensely to browse first and post later. To avoid making more mess then it already is.
I’m not sure why this is happening to you. I will repost this to the tech, we have been doing our best to figure it out for a while.
CLD I’m not sure if that is the case but do all your tasks where you have this issue appear with the date in red?? If that is so then your problem is not really with the tasks being unstared, but with not changing dates on overdue/not done tasks.
Nozbe per definition at the beginning of a day makes a review and 1st what you will see in the Next Actions are overdue(dates in red) action be they starred or not. In such situation unstaring the action won’t make any difference. They will stay put until you either remove them one by one or if you change their due dates.
Hope this helps.
Hi Delfina,
But, even if it is overdue (like, say, something for December holiday 2009) if I “unstar” it, it might be overdue but is not designated a “next action.”
So, I should specify that there is no real “due date” for the tasks that are in red. That would solve this issue.
And sorry for the double post. I have an awful lot going on, that’s for sure. My online life is only part of that. I’m lucky to remember to follow up on this issue at all, let alone peruse back posts.
Doing my best! Thanks!
CLD
I just removed dates on two items, then removed their stars, to see if they’ll pop back up on my Next Action list.
Also, however, there are a couple items that I’ve checked as “done” on the Next Action list (that were, albeit, overdue) and the do not remain checked off. They reappear on the list. Is it the same thing? Because the due date has passed, even though I check it off they don’t remain checked off?
Do I need to go back into all these tasks and change dates before I can check them off?
Thanks- sorry for any confusion. Just trying to make it work!
CLD
Hello CLD,
No. The due date does not influence the ‘done” check. There was some glitch yesterday in the system, and my done also reappeared. Please try again. They should check off easily now. Our tech is double checking on that to figure out why that glitch happened.
Update- the items I removed due dates from have NOT reappeared on the “Next Actions” list, so that seems to be a simple fix! Instructions for that might be something that could be included in the user info you provide? It hung me up for a long time without knowing that I had to remove due dates to take those items off the Next Action list. I think some other folks are struggling with that as well, but this was an easy fix. Let’s see how it behaves over the next few days.
The checking off problem has been occurring for a long time as well. So, I removed the due date from an item and again checked it as “done” to see what might happen. As a test I left the past due date on another task that is also done and checked it off. I’ll see if they both remain “done” over the next few days.
Thanks for getting back to me on this and for checking it out on your end!
CLD are you using the iPhone application on it? If so then it is the synch bug rearing its ugly head again.
solutions:
1. reinstall the application
2. use www.iNozbe.com ( acessible via mobile’s browser)
3. wait for the new version (supposed to be released next month but that depends on the beta test results)
