Emailing Actions winds up going to notes!

Hello i am trying to get the Email To Actions to work right. it always goes to notes!

i sent an email to my nozbe email address

subject: task
body: (i put the following on the first line)

  • test action

but it shows up as a “note” not an action….am i doing something wrong?!!!

and the dot shown above is an “asterisk” as specified by the directions!

i think i found the reason. the first line of the body must be BLANK line, is this correct? so all actions begin on line 2 and beyond?

No, it is ok to write it on the 1st line. I just tried, and all is working fine.

Subject: task
1st Line of body: * test

and it showed up as action in my Inbox.

I am not sure if this is your specific problem. I have found problems while trying to get all of my info imported in many lines via email. It needs to be plain text. If you copy and paste cells for excel, it creates an html table in email. I was copying to notepad first via clipboard then to gmail. But I suppose you could temporarily turn off the html feature in email.
