I’m locked out “Sync Failed! Account Expired!” since around 7/23/10. Sent a email to Nozbe and Delfina replied “Yes we are aware of the issue and the developer is working on it. Meanwhile the only suggestion I can make is reinstallation of the application. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.”
I replied with a question: “If I reinstall the app will I lose my Nozbe data on my iPhone?”. No reply, I have repeated the Question several times and I get no reply.
I need better Customer Service than this, if you can’t provide it, just tell me and I can find another app. I would like Nozbe to provide better customer service. I’m a paying customer!

I owe you an apology, I thought you had ignored me, which didn’t make sense at all. I was tiring to be patient… After a though search it appears that my Outlook rules has been diverting some of the Nozbe emails into my PayPal Apivision folder. I wasn’t expecting your email there. You in fact answered my question twice. Please except my profoundest apologies.
So the 2.1 should be out any moment and I won’t have to delete 2.0 and lose data?

Email systems sometimes play nasty tricks on us.
To be honest I’m not sure how that will work. In theory it should take place of the old and save all the data. But I do not trust iPhones totally to be honest (had a set of ‘updating’ issues this month on other apps I use). It also may depend on you iOS.
OK but it doesn’t seem like have much of a choice. I Can’t export, email Actions out or any thing else. My only choice is think positively.
Well there is no emailing out of Nozbe, but emailing in. Otto… I’m not quite sure here what you were looking for but if you took a moment to write me an email and detail what you were looking for maybe I can aid you.
Update: My Outlook rules stashed Delfina’s email in a unexpected folder as discussed in another post. Nozbe Customer service is fine. Ooooops!
LOL, disregard the last comment. Late in bed working off my iPhone…thought it was my other post.
The update to 2.1 didn’t take. I saw the little progress bar go to completion under the Nozbe Icon. It still says 2.0 and I get the same message “Sync Failed! Account Expired!”. I have 31 Projects, tried doing manual update…tedious and time consuming. It would be great if you guys could find a fix for me.
Otto are you on the newest iOS? please try to download the 4.0 and then to update the apps.
Yes, Settings>General>About>Version 4.0.2 (8A400)is what I got. I updated as mentioned above and I still get the Sync Failed…

There is something I would like to ask you to try for me.
Please check if you apps is update to current one (in info you should have build:HUDSON 27 if I’m not mistaken). Then if that is so please try using “change account” option.
But should a warning about reset/removal of your data appear please do NOT accept.

Otto they are (tech and developer) really having an issue here. They found your log record from 23rd but none afterwards. They are asking me to check with you if you are using the same login here on forum as on the apps. Cause if you have a different account that you are trying to log in via your iPhone that would explain at least part of the issue.
Delfina, Yes it would but i only have one acct. I logged out of this web Nozbe (wN) and logged back in with out a problem. When I use the same login with iPhone Nozbe (iN) it crashes then when I open iN it tries to sync and I get the Sync Failed! Account Expired! One time I used another password and it said “Bad username or password Unable to login with given credentials” Maybe it’s loging on but getting the wrong acct info or (iN) is corrupt and reading it incorrectly. I think we know it’s corrupt cause it won’t update. It would be great if there was some way to backup my data.
Delfina, I have to do a restore of my iPhone for a totally unrelated issue, when I do, Snow Leopard will backup my iPhone. I could get lucky an my data would be saved and a fresh iN would be installed with my data. I’ll wait one more day to see if you have a solution before I restore.

Can you try for me one thing please. Reboot you mobile, then try to use ‘change account”. Please make sure that you type in your email address in the login field. It may work.
Delfina, So I tried to use ‘change account”, typed in a fresh email address and password, it process for about 20 seconds and then exits/closes. When I open it, it process about to about one quarter of the way and gives me “Sync Failed!...”. I’m thinking, that was your last resort so over the weekend I’ll manually transfer my most important items and restore my iPhone. Maybe an export feature or email feature might be in order.
Oh, I rebooted first, Top and bottom buttons together till shutdown, no slide off.

You got the newest apps? If that is so there is something that has been discovered by the tech. It seems some users have accidentally changed one thing in their settings and as result can’t get it to work. Please do check in the info of you apps. In the setting of your phone you have a list of applications. Please go there and tap Nozbe then please make sure that “development settings” is set to OFF by the Development server.
Delfina, no I didn’t get to it yet but yes your tech is correct, I had development server on. Now it syncs Yea!!
Delfina, Thanks, that saved me a lot of work. I synced with iTunes but it still says Version 2.0 but now I can restore my iPhone. Guess I could delete iN and sync with iTunes…
Delfina, every thing is syncing/working fine except it’s still running 2.0 even after a complete iPhone restore, any suggestions?
Otto please check the build. It should be Hudson 28 (info found in the ‘info’ of the app). If it is so then you are fine ;-)
Delfina, I only see 2.0 on the home screen, inside info I don’t see anything of a version or build. Just sent you 3 snapshots of home and info screens to questions@nozbe.com

Well you need to download it from the iTunes. When you are there please go to where your applications are stored (I suggest doing that without having the phone connected) and at the bottom of the screen you will have “check for updates” If you have purchased the apps it should be no problem with downloading the update. If this does not work I suggest contacting ITunes and asking them why you the update is not available to you.
Delfina, I checked for updates like you described above and there were none for Nozbe. In iTunes 9, left column, select apps, right clicked on on the Nozbe icon and selected get info. It says Version 2.1.1 … fair play ver: 2. Purchased 8/24/10. The apple tech that I talked to said to delete and reinstall the app again. Did so, no joy. He threw the responsibility back in your lap saying that the vendor is responsible for basically everything. My guess is that iTunes thinks that Nozbe is up to date, maybe it keeps track of what was update so as not to duplicate updates. During the course of this whole thing I watched at least two N updates go to completion by the progress bar but maybe because I had development server on they didn’t take. I see only two options, 1) wait for the next update and maybe it will take. 2) Delete both apps off iPhone and iTunes and probably have to purchase Nozbe again.
Delfina, OK, hope your sitting down, I’m thinking that I do have the Evernote integration, check under the Project Pets, I have notes that I put there under the notes tab in the iN app and then synced to wN.

well the main difference between the version you have had and the newest update was the EN integration. So if u got it… means u got it updated…
As for your option 2. please let me give you an advice here. If you delete the application from both you can download it back again from iTunes no need to re-purchase it.

Delfina, I’m thinking that I should do just that, I’ll do a sync then delete both apps,when I go to the app store will it will know that I already bought it? I click on the buy app and…what happens next?
Delfina, deleted both apps bought the new one, no charge, but it’s still 2.0.
The new update just appeared in the Appstore. Should solve this hopefully :-)

I have replied to you. I’m not sure why you have not received the email. And I also have posted a replay to your other post.. yes you do loose data on the Iphone… it’s as if you would delete a program on your computer and reinstall it anew… you would end up with clean version. All the data saved on on-line Nozbe stays in place.
