Email with Context

Tim Weber   Thursday, May 19

Is it possible when emailing an action into Nozbe to somehow tag the item so it gets a Contxt assigned?

Based on my searching it looks like this can’t be done – is that true? Or am I missing something?

Hello Tim,

Yes, you are missing something. Namely @.
Here are links to Help Page for you:

“parameters”:http://www.nozbe.com/help#inbox/4
“emailing with context”:http://www.nozbe.com/help#email_integration/14

I strongly enourage you to read the rest of Help Page as well. It will save you much trouble. In case of any questions, concerns or ideas please feel free to email us at Support@nozbe.com

Delfina – I saw that link but I haven’t been able to figure out how to use the @ with the context. I tried putting the @ witht he context in name in both the subject line and the body and while I got the emails, the context was assigned. I’m sure I am missing something, but I haven’t figure out what yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I do ths regularly, and I tested it again this afternoon and it worked…

* This is my task @focus

Always make sure you put a space after the asterisk. It doesn’t matter whether or not there is a space after the @

Thank you Phil! I didn’t realize that I had to do the * piece.

Here’s my cheat-sheet, Tim:

Task format: * a d ^r %t #p @c !
Note format: [s cd #p @c x]
where:

  • = (indicates this is a task – must have a space afterwards)

a = task description
d = date in the format:
on today
on tomorrow
on yesterday
d mmm yyyy
and optionally:
hh:mm
hhmm
r = repeat in the format:
every day
weekdays
every week
t = duration in the format:
n min
n h
p = project name or label
c = context
! = starred
s = note subject
cd = note creation date in the format:
on d mmm yy hh:mm
