Since iOS was updated to 4.2, auto-synchronization does not work properly. Under iOS 4.2, applications are not suspended but are brought to background when users push home button. So when the Nozbi app is launched second time, auto-sync is not executed.
I think auto-sync should be performed not only when the application is launched but also when it is brought to foreground.
Comments:
Also works to hit the sync icon on the iPad app screen (next to the “i” icon. Have to remember to do so, but it has become a habit.
You are correct Cheryl. Thank you for pointing this out ;-)
I definitely second this. I frequently go to the web version and then start wondering where my tasks are! I then have to go find my phone and open up the app and then synch it. It’s not convenient. Can you please make it so that it auto-synchs when brought to the foreground and then also when sent to the background? That way, auto-synch is truly auto-synch; the user never has to think about it.
Nozbe doesn’t seem to know that it’s 2011 yet ;-) The days of the week don’t correspond to the dates
I think this whole discussion takes a technical perspective.
As I user, I should not need to care how sync works and what to do to remember to sync. Whenever I update something in the app, this should of course automatically be synced.
Come on guys it is 2011 :)
I have set up the auto sync on launch, and aside from the problem Norio has noted – which also is a problem for me, I have an additional issue.
When I opn the app I do not want to wait for sync dialog to complete. I want to access notes and tasks immediately. The app should invisibly sync in the background and not delay me in working on my tasks
Hello,
The developer is working on background synch options. Meanwhile I suggest making sure to close down the application periodically. This can be done by 1. clicking on the red – sign in the apps or 2. by holding the apps icon for a bit which will result in its shut down.
