I must have spent 3 hours trying different things because taking the ical URL from Nozbe and putting it into outlook 2007 like I’m suppose to did not work! Freaking Nada and I was not happy! I had to have it sync with outlook or it would be a pain in the you-know-what to manually re-enter my tasks into outlook. Below is a post on anther blog I found and it works beautifully! BTW, this was
for syncing with google calendar but just substitute your nozbe ical URL instead:
I found the way to get around the “cannot verify that the URL is a valid calendar” problem (for Google calendars, at least) was to:
1. paste the private URL for the ICS file into your browser (Firefox, in my case) location bar
2. change the http:// prefix to webcal://
3. hit enter
4. the browser should then offer to launch the external application (Outlook 2007) for you to handle this URL.
5. Follow the Outlook 2007 prompts and it should subscribe to the calendar
END POST.
Then to update your outlook just do a send an receive and presto there it is!
Many Kudos to a guy name Daniel Pauly who posted
the above 3 years ago in cyberspace somewhere. Micheal should thank him because I will be a paid subscriber now.

Here is an update of how I sync my outlook, nozbe and android phone. It involves a third party program called sync2 at syn2.com
1) turn on your google sync
2) get the private ical address in your google calendar that’s syncing with nozbe
3) now just paste it in to your browser and execute the file that comes up (in chrome it auto downloads a file and then just click on it)
4)now outlook 2007 assuming you have that open will automatically see that and presto you now have your nozbe calendar in outlook!
Don’t try to go through outlook 2007 and paste the ical url. It didn’t work for me at least.
5. Now do the same to your default google calendar. Note I had to use that calendar as my main calendar in outlook 2007. So now you will have your nozbe calendar and your main google calendar in outlook side by side. Just make sure they are checked off in outlook or you won’t see them.
6. Once you have sync2 running it will auto sync your two calendars in outlook with google AND your contacts in outlook too!
Ain’t that freaking cool!
And better yet your funky android smart phone auto syncs with google so now everything is automatically updated! Even if you change your nozbe calendar in outlook it’s update in nozbe for a two sync. Not bad huh?
It works great for me! Any questions you can email me at nozbe@easysale.biz.
PS the sync2 app has a 15 day free trial. And no I don’t have anything to do with that app.
Hey bud thanks for this, but does it synch corectly, meaning projects in outlook = projects in nozbe? I’m using gsynch and it does not.. thx Mark
Mark, I am puzzled by your question. There is no concept of a project in Outlook. Did you mean task?
Dean Thanks for this great workaround ;-) I bet it will be help to many users.
