Hi Michael,
I recently upgraded my Nozbe membership to Personal, after almost four years of using the Free version. I decided to upgrade after starting to listen to David Allen’s podcasts and realized how much more I could get out of Nozbe (in terms of more projects and functionality) than I had.
After using it for a week, I’d like to share some suggestions with you to consider for improving Nozbe:
1. If you use words like ‘today’ or ‘tomorrow’, Nozbe identifies the correct day and places the action on the calendar. Perhaps it should also be able to identify words such as ‘every Saturday’. For example, I want to say ‘Vacuum car every Saturday’. But admittedly, if an item is repeating every week, it may be not part of a project, just a weekly activity. Google Calendar has rich functionality for scheduling.
2. When I started adding actions to a project, it would add the new item to the top of the project. For example, if I added an action ‘Research fares’ and then added ‘Book ticket’, the most recently added item appears to the top of the list. I’d like it to be added to the bottom. Perhaps an option can be placed on the Settings page to decide whether to add to the top or bottom of the list.
I noticed that ‘add more actions at once’ allows me to add a number of items together, in order, but for one-off items, they appear to the bottom.
3. The ‘i’ key does not seem to work. It does not automatically select the Inbox (I’m accessing Nozbe using the Firefox browser on Windows XP, so I don’t know if it works on other browsers/ operating systems).
4. A recycle bin can be implemented to hold deleted actions or projects. Of course, having no recycle bin forces users to consider whether a project or action is no longer needed, but recycle bins would be convenient.
That’s about it for now, keep up the great work!
Vasudev.
