I use a wide-screen laptop with a 1400×900 resolution, and the fact that the UI limits content to the 660-pixel wide center column is just a waste of good screen real-estate. I could fit so much more on this screen without having to scroll vertically if this column was sized in percent of screen width as opposed to a hard-coded pixel value.
