Actions in Nozbe - 3 times faster!

As stated in my earlier post, we are heading towards Nozbe official release, so we’ll be posting about newest Nozbe enhancements based on the feedback we’ve received during the "beta" period.

One of the most important thing in any GTD ("Getting Things Done") application is the speed. Especially the speed of entering the data into the system – you don’t want to waste your time on this – or your GTD tool will prove useless.

Among all the productivity web applications on the Internet, Nozbe has been praised by users for being quick and responsive… but we have found ways to make it even faster and easier for you to put your actions and notes to Nozbe!

1 – Quickly Add Actions

Add your actions anytime, on any Nozbe page, without losing focus.

How many times, while processing your actions or working on a project an idea popped out in your head and you needed to put it down? The idea behind GTD is to clear your head, so when you need to write something down – you need to do it now to clear your head and continue working.

Before: If you wanted to add an action to another project (i.e. not the one you were working on), you had to click on this project and put your action there… and after that go back to the project you’ve been working on.

Now: Just click on the “Add Action” link near Nozbe logo and add your action instantly (you can optionally specify project, context and time as well) without leaving current Nozbe project. That’s it the action will be added instantly in the background.

2 – Add Many Actions at Once

Import all of your actions from different systems to Nozbe and Get Things Done!

Adding actions to Nozbe has always been very easy and quick, but still, if you had to migrate from different systems like MS Outlook, Excel or simple text-based to-do list, it was a time-consuming task to copy all of your information.

Before: You had to add one action at a time in Nozbe. To add one action was fast enough, but not very efficient if you had many tasks in your different systems.

Now: When adding an action to Nozbe, just click “Add more actions at once” and now you can insert several tasks at a time (one action per line).

This way you can copy tasks from other systems or applications (like Excel) and paste directly into Nozbe. It can’t be easier!

3 – Move actions and notes between projects

Store your actions in one project and divide them all into different projects… at any time!

Many people have asked for this feature. It’s really fantastic, especially if you want to implement David Allen’s Inobx – you can now dump your actions into one project called “inbox” and later process the inbox by moving the actions to different projects.

As always – feel free to discuss Nozbe on our Nozbe Forum and sign up for your free account to take Nozbe for a spin!

be great if you could also add a date and other metadata when you add an action (or multiple actions)

I don’t see the links at the top of my Nozbe page (start, next action, projects, contexts) as shown above in the graphic (http://hitrss.apifile.com/c4ca1/action-quick.jpg). Is this from the prior version?
