Easy Tag Management for your projects and sub-projects

Michael   Wednesday, July 9

As you know, Nozbe uses tags as ‘sub-projects’ as I believe flat project structure is nicer than the tree-like project structure in traditional project management.

Tags as “groups”

We use tags in Nozbe as a means to group projects together. Any project can have tags and later you can browse the projects by tags. This way a project can have several tags… and thus belong to several “groups”. Today we’ve introduced some improvements over project tagging.

Easily Edit and Remove tags

Now when you click on the tag, it’s not only highlighted but also it is prominently displayed above your project list and you can edit or remove it using the icons right next to it.

Just click on the “edit” icon to change the name of the tag (only single-word tag names are accepted) or click on the “x” icon to remove it from all of the projects that have this tag.

Tags won’t be passed when you share a project

Right now, when you have a tagged project and you decide to share it with someone … and they accept the share … they won’t receive the tags with the projects – they are free to tag their projects the way they like.

When you create a project in a tag, it gets reordered properly

When you’re browsing your project in a tag and decide to create a new project with the same tag, the project appears on top of the project list in this tag only. More intuitive for adding more sub-projects to your tag.

Hope you like the new additions and changes, we’ve got some other cool new features in the pipeline so stay tuned :-)

cool stuff.

one question – how do you pass the tags on shared projects if that is what you want to do? we are sharing some pretty large projects across various teams and passing the tags along is pretty essential.
