Five years helping you get things done!

Exactly 5 years ago today as a solo programmer / entrepreneur / startup guy – I decided to show a new project to the world – a project that already was helping me get things done – so I figured that maybe I’ll find some “more Michaels like me” that would want to work the same way. Here’s the original blog post from our archives

We got a lot done in the first five years, we’ll get a lot more in the next 5 and more to come!

We’ve got great plans for this year – we’re building a bigger development team and we’ve got great apps in the pipeline. We’ll soon be shipping the new desktop app, new mobile HTML5 app and a much improved Android app. Things are looking good for Nozbe. Plus we’ve got a surprise feature-set for you in the coming months.

Suffice to say, “the journey is the reward” and these last 5 years have been great for me and for our entire Nozbe team. Now we’re looking forward to the next 5 years and beyond – serving you and helping you get more done!

Thanks for being great customers, users, supporters and advocates – serving you is a pleasure and I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Yours truly,

- Michael Sliwinski, CEO and Founder of Nozbe

Really getting used to using Nozbe and think its great. Would like to see a premium version that is more reasonable and gives more projects. Would like more than the free version (& would pay for it), but not going to fork over the current annual price for premium version.

Aside from delivery, and if you believe that will soon all be wonderful (as Michael always promises), I think the big issue will be price increasingly. A lot of companies are targeting this space now and its a lot of money. Even with the Christmas discounts it seemed well too much. And, for me, I’d want to see a reliable fully functional Android solution available – still not the case.

@Michael – some notes from a premium user; first – i understand that your team will expand this year – this is good; i would suggest to assign one member team and or all team member to post to this blog all kind of info regarding Nozbe – best practice, case scenarios, tip & tricks etc. That would help a lot in my opinion, especially with the product perception. Second – while the Windows and Mac apps are useful for some – still the Web based product should be the main priority ; i am a Linux user so i am interested mainly in the Browser version; i would like to see a revamp of the graphical interface, something more CSS3 and HTML5 and more options added to it. There are plenty of alternatives out there like Asana, Nirvana etc. Some are good and some are not so good…I would also share with my users-customers a clear timeline for the Nozbe development so that everyone, would understand where the product is headed. I would also update the video usage videos and extend them with customer-user case scenarios – e.g. see excellent example from Basecamp & Evernote. I would also try and communicate more often with the users and also send them on a regular basis (e.g. 2 times per year) a questionnaire about the product, its usage, customer wishes etc. I hope you are already taking into consideration all of these and we – as in your customers – we will ssee ome concrete next actions ! :) Food for thought ! All the best!

Please, please pay attention to visual design, and letting us customize colors/fonts/size/placement. My biggest beef about Nozbe is that it looks depressing. Congrats on 5 years and good luck with your new team!
