Switch off the 'Overview' pages and create your own quasi-Inbox

Not everyone knows GTD (Getting Things Done) and not everyone has read the excellent book by David Allen. This is why we introduced “Overview” pages inside Nozbe.

Many people told me they liked that Nozbe introduced them to Getting Things Done when they logged into their account for the first time and read some tips on the „Start” page, „Projects” page and on the „Contexts” page – these are the "Overview" pages I’m talking about.

However, once you’ve read it all and knew how to use Nozbe to get things done, these "Overview" pages are no longer necessary.. so now you can simply shut them off:

... and instead of „Start” you will see „Next Actions” directly when you log in, instead of „Projects” – you will see the first project instead… and similar thing happens with the „Contexts” page.

You can shut them off in your “Account Settings” page as well as directly on these pages.

This new small improvement raises gives a very significant feature:

You can have your Inbox now!

All you have to do is just to follow these three simple steps:

- create a project called “Inbox” (if you don’t have one already) (2)

- put it on top of your projects list (2)

- switch off the “Projects” page so that when you click on “Projects” (1)

... you will be redirected directly to your Inbox!

Now, you know that in Nozbe you can add more than one action (4) at once and use the the “Add Action” (3) button in the top right corner of your Nozbe Account to easily dump your data to your Inbox (2).

Processing your Inbox is also very easy – just double-click on an action to edit it (or use the Edit Icon on the left) and select “move to” to re-assign it to a different project.

Hope you like this tip and will use Inbox in your getting-things-done flow.

As always, you’re more than welcome to share your comments on our Nozbe forum and sign up for your free Nozbe account if you don’t have one already.

How do I do this in the new version?

This information and much more in here seems frustratingly outdated. How can we do this now? There is no “account settings” on my screen and I don’t see this in “account” or “settings”

I just signed up for a solo account and I have the new version and it looks nothing like this. I’m with Bart!

I agree.

Me too. I’m tired of having to close that opening page every single time.

I’ll echo the need for up-to-date help/faq files. This information is irrelevant to the current user and is very disapointing to a new user. (hint: still w/in my initial 60 days “trial” period.)

Please update the FAQ with the new version very quickly as we are all very frustrated …

Agreed. Please fix this or tell us how to change the default home page.
