(Preview 2) New Features of Nozbe 2.0 for the iPhone: Collaboration and Files

We’re approaching submission to the Appstore time with our new Nozbe iPhone app. Today I visited Macoscope – the makers of our app and we talked about the release candidate which will be available to our beta testers this Friday and the new iPad app which we’ll release in May.

In my last preview I covered the basics of the new iPhone app – today I want to show you some cool features we’re focusing on:

Collaboration

Yes, the new app will be helping you get stuff done with your friends and colleagues. We have focused on three things:

  1. Project sharing – you’ll be able to share projects from within the app
  2. Task delegation – you’ll be able to delegate tasks to yourself and others!
  3. Comments – you’ll be able to comment on tasks right on the iPhone!

Here’s a sample screenshot:

Working with Files

That’s right, you’ll be able to browse file right on the iPhone and view them if necessary when on the go! This is a new and very cool feature of the iPhone app.

To make sure files look great on the iPhone app, we’ve redesigned the project section – now you can see actions, notes, files and project info as tabs. Less scrolling, quicker access. Here’s the screenshot:

Hope you like the new enhancements and features of the iPhone app. Our beta testers really love how the app looks like and how it performs.

When will you get one?

It shouldn’t take long now. Macoscope will be releasing a “Relase Candidate” on Friday and we’ll be doing the last round of testing next week and we’re hoping to submit the app to the Appstore in around two weeks.

Stay tuned, we’re almost there and I’m sure you’ll love the new app!

Thanks

In the files section, I didn’t see an evernote tab. Will that functionality be integrated with the iphone app at all?

It is nice to see that things are coming along.

“It is nice to see that things are coming along.” yes!

Looking good!
Am I right in thinking that we will be able to view Evernote items that are connected to projects as well?

The Evernote link will be added in version 2.x in late May. We’re also working on the iPad version for late May.

We just want to roll out this version without Evernote first, and we’ll keep on working on improving the app.

This is why I partnered with the guys at Macoscope to make sure they’ll keep on improving the app with me, unlike what we did with the fist app.

Sounds good Michael. I’m looking forward to getting going with the new app.

Seems to be a huge upgrade over the original – good plan to outsource the development. It would appear these guys know their stuff!!

I have been testing the new application along with 30+ users and I have to say it is way better then the 1st. I’m glad Michael found Macoscope to do it for us.
I am confident that when it is finally out it will be a blast ;-)

@ Nigel

As far as I know Android is next on line of apps.

I’m hoping this will solve the issue where my to-dos for Sunday show up as to-dos for Saturday on the iPhone App.
