Today’s a very cheerful holiday in the USA – Thanksgiving. While our users are from all over the world, I like this American holiday because of the spirit of “thanking” and being thankful. We should be thankful every day for our great lives and this day reminds us about it.

Just to tell you that your feedback has reached home and we’re working overtime to bring you an even better Mac and PC client than the beta6 we’ve just announced. You’ll love it. Same goes to our Android app. Finally we think we’ve cracked the way to make it really great. Our iPhone and iPad apps have all received updates and more are on the horizon.

My apologies for the unclear comments. It is late at night and I am very tired. I successfully downloaded Beta Version 6 on my home desktop which runs on Windows Vista and works just fine. I downloaded Beta version 6 on my laptop and work desktop (both run on Windows 7) and I cannot seem to open Nozbe Beta 6. I have had to re-install Beta version 3 on both computers. Why do you think I am experiencing this problem?
1) When will the Android App be updated?
2) Will it just fix bugs or will it have missing functionality included?
3) How many more releases do you plan to get to a reliable, full functionality app, where full functionality is defined by the current desktop browser solution?
I’d remind you that a working Android solution was promised in the summer of 2010.

As to the desktop: after beta6 we’ll probably ship beta7 and then the official release of the desktop app. That’s the plan.
As to Anroid: we’ve had ups and downs with this one but the new version is coming out very nicely. It will be more stable, have different (a lot more intuitive and beautiful) user interface and will have most of the functionality we’ll want to put in a mobile version.

When you say “new version” you mean one that has not yet been released, right? When will it come out? I’d really like to switch over to Nozbe, but the current version (dated october 13, 2011 on the Market) is not yet really usable.

Yes, the new Android version will come before Christmas – I’m testing it on my Nexus S phone and it’s fast, stable and very cool. With a totally new UI as well. So stay tuned!
If you need beta testers let me know. I am in the beta group for YNAB 3 android app (also a tres cool program!)
Hey Michael, Christmas is tomorrow … tough guys, working on Christmas Eve!!
I am very disappointed with Beta 5 and 6. Both beta versions do not open apparently do not seem to work with Windows 7. My personal laptop and my office desktop run on Windows 7. I was previously using Beta 3 with not problem at all. I downloaded Beta 5 and 6 on both computers and when the app will not open. All I get is a mini view at the bottom of the screen. My home desktop runs on Windows Vista and am able to use the Beta 6 app with no problem at all. It appears that Beta version 5 and 6 are incompatible with Windows 7. Any suggestions??
