(2-Minute Productivity Show) Inboxes for different purposes

It’s been a while since I posted a 2-minute productivity show, this time I decided to use the Seesmic platform as it gives me a straight-forward way to post the show.

In this show I’ll be sharing my experiences with my “USA inbox” that I had ready before my trip to San Francisco for the GTD Summit :

Hope you liked the show, please let me know in the comments below – what kind of tricks to you use to make sure you don’t forget stuff before a major trip? Do you have more than one inbox?

The tip was a good one, thank you. The Seesmic platform was far inferior to the You Tube one. The video was always halting and stuttering even after it was fully cached. And the picture quality was not as good.

i tend to use multiple inboxes since i know i have a habit of taking in more info than i will do anything with…so becaus ei know i do this and instead of totally trying to change how i fundamentally work..i just created different inboxes based on how important things are to general life. if its something that i want to look into..i dont need to do it anytime soon – so i throw it in a seperate inbox that i purposley do not go through weekly – only when its big and only when i want to – tends to save me a lot of time ive found.

I use Listomni on my iPhone. Whenever something pops into my head that I need to remember to pack, I just pull my phone out of my pocket and put it on my packing list in Listomni. When it’s time to pack, I just go through the list on my phone and check items off as I pack. This works really well for me as I have to pack for myself and two toddlers, and Listomni allows me to categorize packing items by person.

Thanks for the comments guys! Keep the ideas coming. I’ll have to check why the quality of the video is so lame… since my web cam in my Macbook is quite good… Hopefully next show will be recorded better.

David Allen recommended we “use as many inboxes as we need but a few as we can get by with.” I like to add as many things to my single “Inbox” project but I can’t imagine having multiple Inboxes by name. The video was slow as the others said…I would be interested to know why you are trying another “Tube” service?
