2011 is coming to an end and I’d like to personally thank you for your great support. This has been our best year so far and as we’re approaching releasing Nozbe Windows and Mac native apps (read below) and new Android 2.0 app, together with our iPhone and iPad app lineup Nozbe will be the go-to productivity suite for busy people like yourself in 2012.
Thanks so much for your support and have a productive New Year!
Our new beta7 app and Android 2.0 pre-release
We’ve been busy building these apps and haven’t tested them fully so I decided to announce them on our Test Nozbe blog – if you want to help us and are a brave beta-tester, please go there and get your apps and let us know what you think!
Here’s how our new apps are going to look like:

Comments:
I love the new background! Beautiful.
I still can’t seem to delete a project. I thought you had said this would be in Beta 7.
Never mind. I found it. Cool!
I can’t seem to share a project. I click on the project and then click on the icon of the person. It lists the people with whom I can share projects, but when I try to click on them nothing happens.
Bug Report: I assigned a color to a set of projects. When I sync, the color disappears.
Bug Report: I created a label on the Mac Desktop version and then assigned it to three projects. The label did not sync back to the cloud version and did not show up on my list of labels.
Bug Report: I assigned a color to certain projects on the Web version. I then went to the Mac Desktop version and synced. When I tried to click on a project, I got an error message, (I’m sorry, but I didn’t capture it.) All my projects then disappeared. I quit Nozbe and then reloaded it. Everything was back as it was.
Interestingly, I could not reproduce the error the second time.
Bug Report: On the Mac Version, I assigned a new label to three projects. When I attempted to click on that label to view the associated projects, I got this message: “i18n: String #no_sth not found.”
Bug Report: On the Mac Version, I attempt to delete a label by clicking the Edit button on the label list dialogue, then clicking on the X. The label disappears, but as soon as I click on “Done,” it reappears.
WOW! Again, I am impresed! I can’t wait for final release!
Followin Michael convention, here are some bug reports for Win version:
Bug Report: (WIN) Icons do not show properly. Instead there are weird letters and numbers.
Bug Report: (WIN) Issues with third panel – it disappears and apperas. Mainly when window is maximized to full screen
On the new Android version, it would be nice if the program could go into landscape mode for people with tablets.
Bug Report: (WIN) Sync issue – I created task in Web client and assigned context to it. Then in WIN client (without previous synchronization) I assigned other contect and run sync. Result – in web client I see the task in context that I setup in win client, but in the context I set via web, the number of actions increased, but the action is not visible in the context.
Some great progress, thanks! Looking forward to the main release. Also seeing the letters/numbers rather than icons (font issue?) that Marcin is seeing on Win7×64.
On the maximising, restoring from maximised issue Marcin reports, it appears to be that it is not adjusting the width properly. This I’ve observed in previous betas.
Filtering in next actions is a great addition, but the omission of filtering by labels is sorely missed.
Bug Report: (WIN 7×64) minor but the stars don’t align on the right properly http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4044405/CloudShot/shot_31122011_144137.jpeg
Android – very excited to have Nozbe now working on small screen Android devices – thank you thank you thank you!
Bug Report: (Android) I can’t see completed tasks in the projects view. When i click “show completed tasks” i get i “No tasks in project” message.
Regards Frank
After the first tests on my htc desire S the new app looks pretty good. If the “completed tasks” problem is solved, it ‘ll be great.
Regards Frank
Android: It would be nice to have a search function.
I hate to be a broken record, but are there any keyboard shortcuts at all? If so, where can I find the documentation on them?
I have just downloaded the new Nozbe App – another Beta after 9 months since the first.
After many releases the old style Beta eventually stopped crashing on my 2 Android phones. I have not thrashed the new one but it doesn’t seem to crash either now. Correction – went off to use other apps, came back to Nozbe and screen was frozen. Eventually it brought up the Android Force Restart dialogue. Not good.
Functionally the Next Actions list is not in the same order as the web version I see. And there is still no ability to move actions relative to one another so the list of actions is the order I want to see. This makes it of no use to me at all. The iPhone app has had this functionality for a very long time. Nozbe offer no other way to sort a list so its essential.
Still no Landscape and, perhaps less important these days, no move to SD card.
You wait months/years for Nozbe to get a grip on Android and its still not there. It may be a better base on which to build, it may not, but essentially its another buggy and functionally deficient release.
Win App: Icons not showing – Letters and numbers in what looks like Times New Roman font
Hi,
Android info:
+1 for move to SD card (it’s still relevant for me)
Bug Report: startup takes a long time, stays on startup screen for at least 10 seconds. Sometimes it never finishes and a restart is required.
Bug (Android): there is no visual feedback when I press in the checkbox to complete the action. My opinion is that a green check should appear in the box IMMEDIATELY (100 to 200 ms) when I do that.
What happens now is that there is no visual feedback, and it takes about 4 seconds (!!) before a checkbox press results in the action disappearing from the screen. I “double completed” a few actions before I figured this out, by pressing again since it “obviously did not work”. Very frustrating to have to stare at the screen for four seconds before you know whether your press had an effect.
SWEET! The PC desktop app is so helpful! THANK YOU! Dziękujemy!
Bug Report (WIN): the entry field for the proxy address is too short. In our case, the proxy address do not fit and gets truncated, failing to connect. It did work in the previous beta. Hope it helps.
In general, basic features work stable :)
I can edit, sync and use Nozbe Win Client to normal work.
Please add keyboard shortcuts
And please add feature to convert action to project
I second Jeff Templon’s comment above (1 Jan). I too see the same behavior on a Droid X2 phone. I click the “check mark” to complete a task and WAIT (far too long!!!) for the green check mark to appear. I’m often left wondering, “Did I click the right spot on the screen?” This check mark should appear immediately to provide the user a visual indicator of their action. It’s almost as if the system is trying to do all of the background processing first and then displaying the check mark versus the opposite order.
Bug Report: Mac Client. Calendar View. Click an action, then select another, the color highlighting does not come off of the previously selected action.
Hi
How does the process go from now on? Will there be comments here if the beta is updated? Is anyone listening?
Great job, thanks and happy New Year!
— Android: hope the widget will be added sooner or later ;-)
— Windows: weird behavior of the right edge of the window (on large screen, at least). Miss drag’n‘drop from project to project.
