What Nozbe has cooking for you in 2009?

I know, I’ve been too quiet this beginning of the year, but it’s been very hectic for me and my team. We actually got lots of stuff done and are finishing many of the Nozbe-related gems for you to enjoy in 2009.

Here’s what’s in the pipeline (in order of appearance):

  • Nozbe for iPhone – I know, you’ve been waiting for this one far too long. The version 1.0 of the app has been completed. Beta testers are very happy with the initial result so now we’re submitting the app to the Appstore. I’ll post more on that later this week.
  • New Nozbe web site – We’re finishing the design of new Nozbe web site with both the main page and the blog much better designed. An eye candy, but we need it. I’ll introduce it very soon.
  • New Nozbe Interface – I’ll start posting previews next week and ask for beta-testers very soon so that you can help us make the interface great. The engine is practically done. Now we’re just adding some great design and it’ll be a blast. New Interface will feature same Nozbe ease of use, but in a better packaging, 10 times faster (I’m not kidding)... I’m sure you’ll love it.
  • More Business-related features – Nozbe Family and Team plans have proved to be a great success and we’d like to have more teams using Nozbe and getting things done together… especially if they have iPhones :-)
  • More 3rd Party tools – I’ll be posting about great stuff people are doing with the Nozbe API and the special “Sync-API” we’ve developed for the iPhone app. Nozbe will integrate with more and more services to help you get even more done! And we have a surprise for you in February/March of a special app Nozbe will work with.
  • Internationalization – we’ve got great volunteers who will be helping to bring Nozbe to your language… how about that?
  • and more other goodies to come (I’ll keep them in my sleeve for now)

Bonus – the new issue of the Productive Magazine is in the works and it will feature an exclusive interview I did with Guy Kawasaki and other great articles by bloggers from Lifehack, TUAW, and more…

I know it’s a little late, but I still wish you a great 2009 and I’m hoping you’ll get lots of stuff done this year!

(Nozbe will try to help you with that!)

Thank you for the update Michael. Can you validate that the redesigned Interface will also come along with new features…or is the new UI all about speed?

Additionally…I manage a web-based product and would love to be a beta tester.

Great news, Michael.

Looking forward to all of these exciting developments and a very willing beta tester here!

Speak soon.

Loving it. Excited about the iPhone app, even though the current web interface has been rock-solid for me. If the new stuff is as good as [or better than] the old stuff, count me in!

:-)

Count me in if you are looking for a non-techie triallist. I can’t wait!

:-)

Thanks for the heads-up guys! Brian, the new UI will be about speed and user experience. It will work faster and you’ll also manage your stuff easier than before. We’ve asked our users, we’ve tested many approaches and believe we’ve come with some great improvements.

The new UI will be yet easier to use than the old one. Really.

And initially there will be one big new GTD related feature – I’ll announce it soon… This will help in implementing GTD even to those, who have hard time getting these good habits in place :-)

Michael – you have me excited now. Do you still anticipate bringing on beta users next week?

:-)
David Esposito 22 Jan 09 08:33

How long will the new Nozbe be in beta?

:-)
John Kendrick 23 Jan 09 11:01

Michael – count me in as a Beta tester for the new UI, I’m excited to see all the improvements.

:-)

Can’t wait for this, and to see what interesting things you’ve done for an iPhone app. Can’t wait until I can quickly tap things into my iPod Touch!

:-)

Hi Michael: please count me in as beta tester. I’ve tried other GTD apps and seems like Nozbe is finally the one for me! I’ve be happy to be a beta tester.

:-)
Paul Campbell 24 Jan 09 13:47

OK – I’m taking you up on the “tease” Michael! and opening the book on the big new GTD feature. As a GTD-junkie, I’m hoping for THE cornerstone power-activity – the Weekly Review. Would love to see how Nozbe could add magic to that!

:-)
Michael 24 Jan 09 22:49

Paul, I can’t reveal much yet… but know this – you are reading my mind with your comment there :-)

Yeah, absolutely true that the drug addiction is crime however the peoples are using different types of drug in form of alcohol. Now a day it is a very critical issue for us. Mostly the youngsters are doing these such types of things. I think it should be banned as soon as possible otherwise it may create so many problems for our coming generations.
