Nozbe goes social - show your face and see the change when Sharing your Project

Michael   Wednesday, February 20

I’ve often said we use Nozbe – our "simply getting things done" web app internally in our company and we share projects with one another and we keep always thinking how to improve our collaborative experience.

Recently we added delegating tasks to others which is great and works very well for us, especially that now you can delegate a task to someone and it automatically becomes their next action.

However, there were to things we lacked when sharing projects… and we’ll going to introduce them today.

1 – Avatars – show us your real face :-)

People love avatars, images and photos and they use them in online forums every day. Why? It just makes these virtual places a little more personal…

Starting from today you will be able to upload your avatar, photo, or any other graphical image to your Nozbe account to identify you in front of the people you’re sharing your projects with.

To add your Avatar, simply click on the "temporary avatar" on your "Start!" screen or just go to your "Settings" page in Nozbe and scroll to "Personal data".

Now just click on "Change photo" and browse for a photo from your computer.

The photo should not be too detailed and should be in a shape of a square (equal width and height) because during the upload process it will be automatically sized down by the server to a 48X48 pixel icon (just have a look at my avatar).

Now, if you share projects with others, you’ll be able to see their avatars in each of these projects:

...and in your "Contacts" page:

...and in the "Changes" section in each of your projects (I’ll talk about it next).

It’s only the beginning – the avatars will be used in many more ways in the future, so stay tuned.

2. Changes – the Wind of Change to your projects

When you’re sharing projects with others, how many times have you been wondering: What happened since my last visit? Did he/she really completed this action? What is this action doing here? etc…

Well… think no more. Now you can see exactly who and when added, completed, removed an action, note or a file. It’s all there in the "Changes" link right above your Project name.

Please note: the "Changes" link appears only above the shared projects and the changes are being recorded only to shared projects, of course.

As you can see, the layout of the changes is very nicely designed and you can see the brand new avatars/photos of your fellow colleagues so you can spot right away who did what.

More updates coming tomorrow as we’re approaching a major re-launch to Nozbe, so stay tuned and enjoy new Nozbe goodness. We are constantly listening to your feedback and you’ll be seeing some major improvements in the coming weeks to Nozbe and some breakthrough features, too!

Thanks – no go to your Nozbe Account and upload your photo – it’ll be so much fun – you’ll see!

It should be as easy to change company or family logo, but I haven’t discovered how to do this. Help.

Go to your “Start!” page and you’ll be able to change your family logo there. If you don’t see your “Start” page, you have to re-enable it in “Settings”/“Overview pages” – and un-check “Skip the Start page…”

Perfect! That was it – thank you!
