(Nozbe 2.0 video preview) Converting an action to project for max GTD productivity

It’s Nozbe 2.0 Eve and we’re launching tomorrow.

I’m loving the new Nozbe and I’m hoping you’ll love it, too. To make sure you know what I’m talking about I prepared a quick video screencast of Nozbe’s cool new feature suggested by many of our users – convert task to project:

Make sure to spread the word about it and stay tuned for Nozbe 2.0 tomorrow! I can’t wait, can you?

What do you think about the new one-click feature?

I’m still curious about some of the finer points of 2.0, but you’re right about one thing — it looks great!

Mickey, your curiosity will be rewarded. After your last suggestion in one of the comments we realized that the spaces between projects and between actions were a little too big and we’ve adjusted them. Anyway, thanks for the heads up!

I’ve been excited about Nozbe 2.0 Eve all day. I’ve left cookies and milk out for you.

Hm.. I think this is not too good that this new project is not connecting anyway with parent project. It will be quite difficult to orientate in all this projects without some visual presentation similar to mind maps or at least some sort of the tree..

I guess you need to do some feature like that because every user, I guess, have a huge number of projects and this is a real problem to work with plane list.

:-)
Michael 11 Aug 09 12:53

Dmitri – if you’re using the project groups feature, the new project will be connected with the old project, belonging to the same label so no worries there.

:-)
Michael 11 Aug 09 12:54

What I meant was – if you have a project Nozbe 2.0 in the project group “nozbe”, the new “converted” project will also belong to the same group, so it won’t be lost :-)

Hi Michael, great project you are acieving, I met nozbe only one week ago ans starting to apply to my life…..
One thing i am wondering, what i don´t see in nozbe is reminders for example for scheduled task in calendar it would be great if we receibe a pop up message if we are online or a beep reminder in our mobiles .
Any idea if you will implement this in the future???

Today is August 11th – shouldn’t it be out by now? – I just can’t wait :-)

Yes, Nozbe 2.0 will be launched later today. We’re still finishing up the last small things. Follow me on Twitter for updates.

How’s it coming? Last you said, it’d be around noon EST, which was a few hours ago. Minor delays aren’t a big problem, but we’re so anxious to see it! Keep us posted on your progress via Twitter.

It’s around midnight in Europe now…poor Michael and his team, they must still be working ferociously to get 2.0 out the door!

Paul Kraus 12 Aug 09 00:25

no way to filter next actions :( weak!

:-)
Mickey Mellen 12 Aug 09 00:32

Yeah, there’s some serious shortcomings. Maybe they’re still activating features or something…

Dear Michael
In IE8 there are problems. And differently of what is said, in Compatibility view works sometimes and others not.
In Opera the order of actions is different of IE or Firefox.
And… And… And…
Please: if you want to position your business as a Gadget, and not testing before production, go on and I’ll quit.
But, many like me use Nozbe as a Tool. And was a good Tool.
So please opt for your business.

:-)

Francisco – we’re working hard on making Nozbe perfect and we’ll be triple checking compatibility across all the browsers to make sure everything works great.
