Nozbe is coming to Android in March - first screenshot!

As you know, we’re working round-the-clock to bring you the Nozbe Android application as soon as possible to an Android phone near you and we simply couldn’t wait to post you the first screenshots of our home screen. Here it is:

The navigation bar will be similar to the one you know from popular Android apps like Evernote, Facebook or Twitter and the “+” button will work contextually to help you add actions, notes, files, projects and contexts.

The home screen has new beautifully designed icons by our talented designer that will set a new standard in the future Nozbe applications.

The final application home screen can change a little in the final version of the application as we’ll be tweaking it – this is a screenshot from the actual application – this is the real app I have installed on my Nexus One Android phone.

We can’t wait to bring you the official Nozbe Android client so stay tuned for more updates and for the final release in March.

Thanks for the update, Michael. Looks good. A lot better than the windows mobile version, that’s for sure! It’s time for me to give-up my clunky Windows mobile and switch to Android.

:-)
Ben Schumin 10 Feb 11 12:24

Excellent! I can’t wait for an official Nozbe app to come to Android. The current Nozbe client I use in Android is hard to use, and so having an official one will be really good to have.

Thank you SO much! The inconvenience of the browser interface is the main reason I have backed off using Nozbe. I’m on the go all the time and the browser just isn’t convenient. I want to come back.

I have 2 requests:

  • Alerts
  • Widget(s)

Juan Ros 10 Feb 11 19:45

:-)
Marcus Platt 10 Feb 11 21:18

Looking forward to the release, hope it’s compatible with my Samsung Galaxy Tab and it’s larger screen?

H2orocks4000 13 Feb 11 18:59

good to know, i have no problem with nozbe charging a resoanable sum for the nozbe app. i hope they follow the macscope path with the android apps eventually.

:-)
H2orocks4000 13 Feb 11 19:00

and yes, alerts are neccesary

:-)
Manuj Darshan 15 Feb 11 10:12

Contrary to the iPhone app, the Android app will be free. We’re working on it and it’s running really great on my Nexus One phone so stay tuned. More updates coming soon :-)

:-)

Philip Powis 6 Mar 11 22:19

how close are you on this? I just purchased the family offering and am super pumped about this app as my wife and I both have the Nexus S. No Android offering was my biggest reason I wasn’t sure about moving forward, but when I saw this post, I decided to take the plunge. Can’t wait to see it!

:-)
David V 8 Mar 11 01:15

could we please have an update on when the beta version will be available. I’m on the beta test list and no communication yet.

:-)
Peter W 8 Mar 11 09:53

??

:-)
Philip Powis 11 Mar 11 12:08

i saw your email regarding the calendar problems – could you give a better idea of how close we are on this? I’m super excited…also is there a beta list I can get on if necessary? I’d be glad to help vet out bugs.

:-)
Dano Thaisz 15 Mar 11 08:28

What about Android client. When will it be ready?

If the final version is going to be available in March, perhaps you should distribute it to beta testers.

:-)
David V 17 Mar 11 03:35

Cummon people of Nozbe. It’s now late in the week. You posted on the blog for the new feature – public projects – that you would have it up early this week, but nothing.

Are you having troubles with the syncing of the public/new features? I hope this isn’t the reason for the wait. Please just post the thing and we can beta test it. At least we then can see it and play with it.

Please, please, please communicate where it is at. I NEED the andriod client.

:-)
Michael Schulman 17 Mar 11 12:18

I agree that “Please, please, please communicate” is what is most frustrating. We should be getting daily updates, even if they are very brief.

:-)
Michael Schulman 21 Mar 11 13:50

???????????????

:-)
Simon Hartles 25 Mar 11 08:49

End of March approaches – any news?

:-)
Michael Schulman 25 Mar 11 11:21

The silence is deafening.

:-)
Nate Jones 28 Mar 11 02:18

Any Updates on this?

:-)
Victor 28 Mar 11 15:25

Yes, any news on this front? An impending Android client and was one of the reasons I signed up in the first place.
If Nozbe is not makign the self-imposed March deadline, a short note of that someplace would be great, users just want to be kept in the loop so we can adjust our expectations.

:-)
David V 29 Mar 11 09:10

No comment…....

It’s hard not to be negative in the current circumstances…......

:-)
Michael Schulman 29 Mar 11 13:36

It’s here!!!!!!!

:-)
Bob Heiney 29 Mar 11 16:49

Looks nice! As this is a Beta, where do we leave feedback on functionality issues? It does not seem to handle landscape mode on the Droid very well, but otherwise it looks great!

:-)
Vladimir Safin 30 Mar 11 02:54

Did not get notified .. I signed up for beta earlier

We have no Android Market access from Turkey.
Is it possible to have a download link elsewhere?
