We are approaching official Nozbe release and we’ll be implementing new features on a daily basis… the things you’ve asked for and we’ve been working on the entire time…
Folks have been asking me on Nozbe Forum what kind of formatting scheme we are using in Nozbe’s Notes… and the truth is we’ve been playing with several formatting schemes and finally decided on the one that is most widely used in other web apps like Backpack or in comments of blogs like What’s the Next action - it’s called Textile and it converts bold into bold, italic into italic and does other magical things, for example:

Easy, right?
So let’s see how it looks in a live example, here’s a simple note:

and when I save the note I will see something like this:

Now this is what I call a well-formatted note!
We liked the way it worked in notes and how our notes became more and more eye-friendly…
... we liked it so much in fact… that we decided to apply the same thing to Actions!
Let’s say I click to Edit and Action:

(as you can see, we’ve enhanced the action space for you to write!)
... and when I save the action here’s what I see:

Now this is powerful… and simple!
So if you want to add more information to an action, a link, an image.. or whatever… there are no additional fields to fill out, no clutter… just you can add info to an action whenever you choose to!
Hope you like these enhancements and please let me know what you think on our Nozbe Forum and if you like what you see, sign up for your free Nozbe account and start simply getting things done!
Update to provide some additional info:
1. Yes, apart from the fact, that lists (numbered and bullted) are excluded from action names, we are using the whole Textile markup, so if you’re an advanced user, go and play with the Textile syntax in Nozbe.
2. When using syntax it’s important to use a blank line between lists or note sections or headers. For example:
h1. This is a header
(leave this line blank)
Here’s my notes paragraph
Will display this:
This is a header
Here’s my notes paragraph
The same thing applies to bulleted or numbered lists. Always leave a blank line between notes’ sections.
Should you have more questions, please post them on our Nozbe Forum

Comments:
Great!!! I would like to see Textile Support in the iPad/iPhone App.
As my Blog is also driven by Textile – I could write my article drafts in Nozbe.
I would like to attach notes to individual actions … is that soon going to be possible?
for example:
“write a letter to the bank”
Note: “Address of the bank is ….”
