Getting Things Done with Twitter and Nozbe using SMS, Jabber and more!

Twitter is the Internet phenomenon – it’s a simple social web service that is answering one simple question – what are you doing now? With Twitter you can post your current status updates, your friends can follow what you’re doing and you can check out what they are up to.

And starting from today you can Get Things Done with Twitter!

If you’re a Twitter-addict like millions of other users all over the world, you’re "living in Twitter" and you’re frequently posting your updates and sending direct messages to your friends – this new feature is just for you!

Now you can send a direct Twitter message to Nozbe…

...and it will convert the message into an action!

But that’s not all! Twitter is so incredibly powerful because you can post status updates and messages with Twitter not only using the web, but also email, SMS message, Jabber… and other communication methods, meaning:

You can now send SMS, Jabber, etc. messages to Nozbe using Twitter and get things done!

And it’s so simple! Just follow these two steps:

1 – Tell Nozbe your Twitter ID:

Just log in to your Nozbe account and click on "Extras!", write your Twitter ID and click on the button to save it.

2 – OK, that’s it, you’re done! Just send direct messages to Nozbe!

There is nothing more to set up, just go to your Twitter account and send direct message to Nozbe like this:

d nozbe This is my new task!

Or alternatively go to direct messages section and choose Nozbe from the list of recipients and send your task there.

Impotrtant note: We want to be nice to Twitter and Nozbe is checking the messages every few minutes so it can take up to 10 minutes for your direct messages to get converted into actions and added to your Nozbe account, so please be patient :-)

You can send tasks to any of your projects!

By default, the tasks sent from Twitter will land in the first project on your list, however if you want, don’t forget that you can use task parameters to send tasks to different projects, contexts and define their time, date, etc.

Please read our earlier post for detailed specifications, but here there are some examples:

d nozbe Walk the dog (P Private) (@ Home) (T 30 min)

Will add a task "Walk the dog" to your "Private" project and "Home" context and the task will last 30 minutes.

d nozbe Finish the presentation (P MyCompany) (D today) (N)

Will add a task "Finish the presentation for customer" to the "MyCompany" project and will set the deadline for today… and will set it up as "Next Action"!

Isn’t that powerful? It’s the full power of Nozbe available to you via SMS, Jabber and other great communication channels thanks to the great flexibility of Twitter.

Start getting things done with Twitter today!

Well, I’ve tried this and I can’t make it work. I’m following Nozbe, Nozbe is following me, but I can’t send Nozbe direct messages. Anyone know why?
