Nozbe – your web-based getting things done tool - makes managing your tasks and to-do lists very easy thanks to many small enhancements, like the fact that you can automatically reorder tasks, notes and projects.
When you hover your mouse over a task for example, you can see three icons - delete, edit and move. When you drag the move icon ("hand") you can reorder your tasks in your to-do list easily.

It’s automatic and it’s always there when you need it. The same applies to notes, files, projects and contexts.
Now, you might have not known about it, but you can turn this feature off in your "Settings" page:

... and when you do turn it off and go to any project of yours, the "hand" responsible for reordering disappears (2) and you can’t reorder the tasks automatically. However, you can always click on the link: "Enable reordering" (1) and again, the had will appear to help you reorder your stuff.

Now you may ask yourself:
Why would I turn this useful feature off?
Because it can slow your Nozbe down. Especially if you have lots of tasks and projects and you’re using Internet Explorer. Firefox and Opera handle this feature just fine, but somehow Internet Explorer needs more time to load Nozbe pages with many many projects, actions and notes…
The choice is yours – you can leave the feature as it is – or you can turn it off.
We just want you to have the best Nozbe experience ever and we want you to get things done. If this trick speeds up your Nozbe – than you will get more done and you will be more productive.
If you have a fast computer and running Nozbe in Mozilla Firefox or Opera, you should hardly see a difference though.
P.S. We’ve uploaded the beta version of Nozbe for iPhone – check our forum announcement.

Ever consider a reordering option like the que in Hulu.com or Netflix? If I recall correctly, they employ two methods I find useful. One is a simple arrow for “move to top/bottom”. The other is number boxes to the left of each item in the que. If you over-write the current numbers with your preferred sort and press a button, the list is reordered that way.
Drag-n-drop is really convenient until you have a list of dozens (or more) of Next Actions. (I also find my notebook’s touchpad annoyingly limiting/awkward for this.)
Just my two cents worth.
