Nozbe for iPad on the Appstore! Start Getting Things Done on the iPad today!

Wow, this is really exciting – we’ve got our first iPad app on the Appstore! And it’s stunning and it will make you more productive on this beautiful device:

Get it from iTunes now!

Here’s how it looks like:

The app looks like a leather notebook and is even more beautiful than our recently-launched iPhone app. It simply looks stunning on the gorgeous iPad screen.

I’d like to thank Macoscope – our partnering company who did the amazing job of pulling this app together. They designed this app from ground up for the iPad.

Only $4.99 for a limited time!

We decided to price this app for only $4.99 for a limited time to make sure you get it right away for your iPads. We want this app on as many iPads as possible.

Unlimited projects and contexts when you download the app

The iPad app, just as our recently-launched iPhone app gives you unlimited projects and contexts for this small price… and you can use these as long as you want to. However, if you want to sync them with the cloud and Nozbe.com web site, you need a valid Nozbe subscription

We just launched, and folks love it

Here’s one of the reviews we found today:

“This app is even better than the web program in it’s intuitive way of processing next actions across all projects…. This is truly an iPad app from the ground up, it’s not simply a pumped up iPhone app or a limited web program…” – Frank

“Got it last night and it looks awesome!...” – Gary

Now we have a complete package for the Apple’s iOS

We have a really cool family of iPhone and iPad apps right now:

Here are the links for you:

Let me know what you think! How do you like the new iPad app?

if you want to get it in the hands of as many people as possible…make it 99 cents for a limited time.

Ok…problem already…completed actions are visible, some over a year old! How do you get rid of them????

:-)
Tim Glinatsis 25 Jun 10 02:35

This might save my subscription….sort projects!

Looks good but a few bugs….(a) mentions iPhone version on first time startup, that confused me, thought I had downloaded non-iPad version. (b) can’t find a way to reorder (via drag drop) like the web version, which is too bad because the big touch surface of the iPad cries out for this; (c) app just crashed after I left it open for a few hours in the edit dialog for a Note; (d) the box to view/edit Notes is too small considering the size of the iPad; (e) no “All Projects” 3 actions at a time view like Web; (f) none of the specific Calendar views (like This Week).

@Randy, thanks for your great feedback!

@David – we fixed this now. Please reinstall the app and this will not happen again. It was a problem on the server side.

@Tim, hope you’ll still be a subscriber, but thanks for great comment :-)

@Justin – the price is still competitive when you look at the $19.99 price point for competitive apps.

@stephane – we’re working on the Android version and it’s coming this summer. Stay tuned.

I love it to! Works and looks fabulous!

One Request: Filtering next actions by tag, project, or context. Really helps you focus based on the things you can do at the moment (i.e. if I’m not home, I don’t want to see the noise of the tasks for home).

:-)
Michael 25 Jun 10 15:32

@Nejc – get an iPad man, it’s a fantastic device :-)

@Rod – thanks for the heads up, your requests are in line with what we’re working on the future app releases.

Hi! First of all, I really enjoy using Nozbe on iPad. It’s wonderful (I can smell the leather :-)). However, I’ve some remarks / improvement suggestions. It turns out to be quite a list. Please don’t be offended as I really like the concept of the iPad app as well as the web client!
1. To view Comments on a action I need to select the action and in the detail panel I have to click again on the small comment-symbol. I’d suggest to expand the selected action within the list when an action (one or more!!) is/are selected to show the most recent comment(s). By clicking on the most recent comment(s) of an action all comments of that action are shown. This may be done by expanding the list further or in horizontal viewing mode by using the space on the left of the action list.
2. If a new comment is added by a team member to an action the comment-symbol of an action should be high-lighted, so I know what to review (it’s rather useless for me to open 100 actions to look if someone made a comment…)
3. It must be possible to show all new comments for all actions involved with one ‘key strike’. Thus, all actions with a highlighted comment-symbol expand to show the new comment(s).
4. The ‘What’s NEW’ functionality is simply derived from the time stamp of the last visit (either web or iPad / iphone) versus the time stamp of the comment OR the way the ‘recent activity’ is determined.
5. In the current UI for comments the name of the commenter shows only few (about 10) characters.
6. The context of a note is not shown (only in the detail panel of the note). It should be visible directly in the reading screen. Moreover notes lack a date / time stamp and author (how do the note and message board functionality compare?).
7. Notes should be edited either in the same screen where they were created or within the note view. Now a very small window pops-up.
8. Evernote notes aren’t supported (yet?) with the iPad app.
9. I cannot delegate an action to a teammember (the screenshots of the iPhone version show the funtionality, the iPad version seems to lack this important functionality.
10. The iPad client should support the project message board (read / comment / add a message)
11. Notifications by email (through the web client) for a) new actions delegated to a teammember b) comments added to ‘my tasks’ c) new messages on the message board.

PS I didn’t mean a strike through of ‘in horizontal viewing mode’. No idea why it’s there.

I really love Nozbe for iPad and iPhone, i use both. They both work great, but i hope the sync functionality will become more like the way Evernote (on iPad and iPhone) sync. When you make a change, it automatically syncs (almost instantly).

:-)
Craig Findlay 30 Jun 10 19:35

I love the app, great UI. Couple of comments:
1. I need, need, need search – if I am on a call and someone asks about something, I need to be able to quickly find the action that has the comment that I took from earlier discussions
2. Had a couple of issue with syncing and the focus areas, e.g. had a focus area with 3 words in the title, after syncing it appeared as 3 separate focus areas

Excellent job-the best iPad GTD app out there – better than Things

Cheers
Craig

Help, ipod touch does not go into horizontal editor mode?

:-)
blunxy 23 Jul 10 19:59

Is it possible to reorder tasks (like in the web app?)...or is it staring me in the face and I’m missing it?
