Our Getting Things Done iPad app submitted to Appstore! Syncs beautifully with Nozbe online.

Woohoo! It feels like we just launched the new iPhone application but together with guys of Macoscope we’ve been very busy getting the iPad application and today we shipped!

Nozbe comes to the iPad in leather case

The iPad app looks a lot different than the iPhone app, it has a leather notebook feel to it:

The navigation is on the left and the actions, notes, files and the rest of stuff is on the right side of the app. The tasks look really gorgeus on the big iPad’s screen.

Portrait mode = focused mode

Just flip the iPad to the portait mode and all you see is your task list. You can pull up the menus to change view, but you’re more focused on getting things done:

Sync over air (Wifi or 3G) works beautifully

Just like with the iPhone app, you can use the iPad app on your own – you get unlimited projects and contexts when you buy the app, but the concept really shines when you sync it with your Nozbe.com account:

The app will also sync with the iPhone app – you can sync with your iPhone and iPad and everything will work fine.

Watch out next week for the big launch!

If everything works OK and Apple accepts our app, we’re launching early next week, so stay tuned. As with the iPhone app, this also has been crafted by the fine folks of Macoscope and I negotiated with them to give you the iPad app at an early bird price of only $4.99 – the price will go up in a few weeks when we introduce full Evernote sync in both iPhone and iPad apps.

The iPhone app’s price will go up to $4.99 at the iPad app’s launch day

If you haven’t gotten around to purchasing the iPhone app, please do so now. It’s only $2.99 and it will go up to the same price as the iPad app of $4.99 at the iPad app’s launch day. So you’ve got less than a week to decide. Get your iPhone app now and wait for the iPad!

P.S. If you haven’t purchased the iPad device yet, now you’ve got another reason to do so :-)

Looks fantastic, I guess we are still waiting for Apple to approve. Can’t wait. :-)

I was hoping it would come out yesterday after Steve Jobs mentioned most apps are approved within 7 days. I guess I’m getting impatient. Can’t wait!

Hey everyone. Yesterday got email from Apple, that allowing two popups to show up at the same time (see my 2nd screenshot) is against their UI policy and we shouldn’t allow that. Just submitted a fixed app for re-approval… so we’ll have to wait for next week then… ah well… it’s good they take care of these things, but on the other hand I already wanted this app in the Appstore!

Sorry for this mistake of ours. Let’s wait until next week…

ARGH. Dag nab it…I’ve been checking the app store three times/day.

F!@#()*QAL!

Me too. I’ve been so impatient. Can’t wait for it to be released. Thanks for letting use know Michael. I can’t stop the craziness for a few days.

:-)
Mark Phillips 12 Jun 10 21:47

Me, too! Can’t wait for the new app to be approved!

Thanks for update Michael, should be nearly there now :-)

Tim Glinatsis 17 Jun 10 00:23

This is killing me…

:-)
Mark 18 Jun 10 10:50

should be out today then :-0

Did they forget about Nozbe???

:-)
Tim Glinatsis 18 Jun 10 20:02

It’s 12:00 on Friday…do you know where your app is?

:-)
Randy Parker 18 Jun 10 22:21

Aarg, having sync issues with 2.0. One question: is there any reason why running Nozbe via Web, iPhone, and iPad (using iPhone version for now) should cause sync problems. Finding items that were marked done weeks ago showing up on iPhone app as not done, yet still showing as done on web.

:-)
Randy Parker 18 Jun 10 22:23

So consider that a plea, as I’ve mentioned before, for MORE and AUTOMATED testing of sync. A mobile app with an imperfect sync is not a mobile app, as 1.0 proved.

:-)
Mark 20 Jun 10 11:38

Randy I get same issues I have to reset db on mobile device for things to come back to normal.

:-)
Mark 20 Jun 10 11:39

Any update on app Michael?

:-)
Cecil 21 Jun 10 22:34

Nothing at the store, yet!

:-)
Eric Gasber 22 Jun 10 04:47

Even with the resubmit, this seems to be taking longer than average. Any new developments or known delays?

:-)
G 23 Jun 10 16:34

“Your Search Had No iPad App Results” – is getting very old. Will this be available for download today?

:-)
G 24 Jun 10 04:25

It’s available in the App store finally! Downloading now…

Just to add after a few minutes of syncing and playing with it…it looks awesome Michael. I’m glad I stuck with Nozbe…this is a great implementation for the iPad. I especially like the dark colors in the navigation area on the left…it does a nice job of visually separating and making the task area stand out so it doesn’t look too busy. Took entirely too long, but it seems it was worth the wait! Push notification on due tasks, and I’m a happy camper (oh, and please add iOS4 iPhone app compatibility to my wish list). This is going to be awesome when they port iOS4 to the iPad and we can multitask switch from Nozbe to other app.

:-)
Delfina 24 Jun 10 06:07

Great! It took them like forever to get it through verification ;-)
