We’re finishing up the Nozbe 2.0 implementation. I’m very excited to see how new Nozbe looks and works. It’s a lot faster than Nozbe 2.0 beta and it’s sooooo beautiful!

This week we’ve been finishing up the new design implementation and we are still performing tweaks and improvements to make sure it’s stable and works as advertised.
Here’s our release schedule:
I’d like to extend my thanks to our chief developer Tom Kapelak who’s done a great job writing Nozbe 2.0 and integrating design with the app.
Anyway, mark August 11th in your Calendar – you’ll see a totally new productivity web application that hopefully will set new standard for this kind of apps!
Thanks for your support and for your feedback – I’m sure you’ll love the new Nozbe, can’t wait to have it online.

Well done – will be looking forward to using the final thing during August!
Woohoo! I can’t wait!
Great news!
Awesome! Screenshots? Please…?
Michael, this deadline really needs to be met. After losing faith several times in the past I finally came to the realization that even in it’s current state Nozbe fits my needs better than any other option available. However, many customers are ebginning to move on to other systems not because they are better but because they are frustrated with the missed timelines.(See Andrew Mueller post in forum under “Where’s Michael?” I am really looking forward to the new release and can’t wait to offer my congratulations once Nozbe 2.o is rolled out.
Didn’t I hear practically the same promise in December 2008? and almost monthly since? How many customers have lost interest, changed jobs, moved on, died while waiting? As clients, we may seem to be a polite and encouraging lot because we believe in the product, but for one, the missed deadlines and lack of communication are somewhat insulting. It would try the patience of a Saint. Am I the only Mr Grump around here?
@Surcy and @Nick
I’m sorry you feel this way – I’m sure nobody died while waiting though :-) As I’ve already explained in the past – we’ve had problems releasing this version of Nozbe, mostly because I didn’t realize how much of a work this would be.
We’re talking about full code re-write and full re-design and it took quite a while but it’s practically ready.
All I’m hoping is that you’ll be happy seeing brand new Nozbe on August 11 and hopefully you’ll admit it was worth the wait.
Anyway, Surcy and Nick – thanks for staying and thanks for your patience and support – I’m really hoping you’ll love the new Nozbe.
Michael, lesson learnt (seen the comments), don’t put specific date of new product releases here :) ... Probably people that are not used to software development don’t know the complexity of making an application and how easy is to have delays… I think that Microsoft doesn’t fix a release date until the product is really really almost done. Apple is more aggressive and doesn’t reveal the new product itself, but they have a great number of followers spreading rumors and making a good work raising expectations (I think you don’t have this numbers yet ;) ).. so my recommendation is to announce new products but delay the release date as much as possible. btw, the screenshots look fantastic
I would agree with all above comments. I don’t think it is so much that the product was delayed (understandably – development obstacles are a guarantee). It is just HOW LONG this was dragged out. People start to lose patience. Further to above comments, I’d just suggest that if something is in the pipe…as tempting as I’m sure it is to pique interest and keep your customers on board…I think you stand to lose more by continually missing and pushing dates out over a long period of time. I’d keep the final release date closer to the chest, while just letting people know there is something great coming (with tidbits and screenshots as you have) – yet not committing to a specific timeframe until you KNOW it is fully baked, and you can commit to a timeline. I think people would rather be pleasantly surprised when you give a 2 week heads up on a firm release date. I think we can all appreciate you guys are a small company, and don’t have a massive development team…so things take a bit longer than a large company. We also appreciate that you consider and leverage the best advice from your client base and users. We all want to see Nozbe have great success, and are looking forward to the 11th!
I completely understand where you are coming from Michael. As I said, “n it’s current state Nozbe fits my needs better than any other option available.” I just hate to see other users become disallusioned with the process. Good Luck and you can bet I will love the new Nozbe.
REALLY GOOD to see Delfina responding on the Bug Reports and Problems pages; hopefully a sign of greater things to come.
Yes, Delfina is responding to Forums and will continue to do so. We’re working hard on improving the customer support and the whole customer experience. Once the Nozbe 2.0 is out of the door, we’ll also work on improving the forums. Greater things are coming :-)
Push the current iteration to the current beta site so we can play :)
