Nozbe 2.0 iPhone app in the Appstore!

Michael   Tuesday, May 11

Wow, this day has finally come and our brand new iPhone app in collaboration with Macoscope has finally hit the Apple’s Appstore!

What’s new in the new app?

Mobile Collaborative Productivity

The new iPhone app has been designed to help you work collaboratively on the move. Quickly share projects with your colleagues and delegate actions to your peers with few simple taps!

The new iPhone app supports adding comments to actions. Now you can discuss tasks with your peers to work even more efficiently!

The horizontal editor helps you add comments or edit tasks easier. Thumb-typing on the iPhone makes adding content a bliss!

Your Files in your pocket

The new iPhone app supports files stored in your projects. If you’re on the move and want to check that Powerpoint presentation or see the Word document your colleague attached to the project you’re working on – now it’s all in your pocket!

New design, better sync and a lot more!

The app has been totally re-engineered, the sync has been re-designed from scratch and it should work a lot better than the previous one:

Special, introductory price

The new iPhone app will eventually cost $4.99 in the Appstore – it’s still less expensive than most competitive task managers on the Appstore while delivering a lot more functionality and a way to sync your tasks online.

For a limited time I’ve convinced our partner, Macoscope to lower the price as a thank you for your support with the app. This is why you can get it at $2.99 at the Appstore now.

Thank you users, thank you team!

Again, thanks for helping us out and for your feedback.

I’d also like to thank:

  • our own Delfina, for coordinating the iPhone project with Macoscope
  • our own Tomasz, for tuning the syncing on the server side
  • Robert, Wojtek and the rest of Macoscope crew for making this happen
  • and our great beta-testers for their support and dedicating their time to test the app. You rock!

OK, now just go the the Apple Appstore and get the app… and let us know what you think!

Any chance there’s an Android app in the works? :)

:-)
Delfina 11 May 10 16:48

Yes. We are working on currently. It should be out during summer ;-)

Just installed it – one word “Quality”, Two words “Very slick”. Great work guys!

Good stuff, totally worth the upgrade! Being able to add comments to a task is really useful, even for someone who doesn’t use Nozbe for collaboration.

This is a really nice job – thanks Nozbe and Macoscope. I love the new interface which is simple and professional.

Of course, there are a few additions I’d like to see but the new app is a great start.

Please remove the screenshot from the app store which shows “rob a bank” as a project. That is very offensive as a banker that has been a victim of an armed robbery.

:-)
Delfina 12 May 10 06:34

Of course all suggestions are welcomed … as usual. All I can say is that Evernote integration is going to be one of first patches to this apps ;-)

Brad, get over yourself and get a sense of humour.

:-)
Andy Wilson 12 May 10 13:44

Please can we have task reminders using push notifications in the next version?

:-)
Daniel Williams 12 May 10 15:10

Great job!

Brad, I’m sorry, we were really trying to be funny here. We just thought it was a great idea for a “project” :-)

The push notifications and more improvements are coming soon. First we want to capture the initial feedback, iron out the kinks and push version 2.0.1 as soon as possible. I’ll post our roadmap on the blog soon.

Again guys, thanks for the heads up and for great response to the new app. We’re overwhelmed and happy to give you an even better iPhone app!

Fantastic! For me a reason to come back to Nozbe :-)!!

It really is great – compliments to the developers as it works really well and the layout does not look or feel like your typical template iPhone ones.

It’s much slicker and fresher.

I’ll echo push alerts request – that would be me completely sorted!

Great i’m back too, a reason: this new app..and evernote…but …what a desillusion…No evenote in iphone app…..i upgraded just for this…i feel cheated

:-)
Michael 16 May 10 23:19

Valentina – give us a second! :-)

We first focused on getting the app out the door and make it work well and sync well. Now we’re adding Evernote support and releasing the iPad app.

In just a few weeks you’ll have the Evernote support both in the iPhone and the iPad apps, we’re working closely with Evernote guys to make this happen.
