Nozbe in Google Mail - Add your iNozbe gadget to your Gmail account!

Michael   Wednesday, November 5

After a suggestion from two Nozbe users (Jarek and Johnathan, thanks!) we’ve found out there is a great way of adding your Nozbe Gadget to your Gmail account.

Did you know you could add Nozbe as your Gadget to your iGoogle and Netvibes page?

Well, you can now add your gadget to Google Mail!

We have worked hard today to make this possible and adjust the size of the Gadget so that it fits into the Gmail.

Adding Nozbe to Gmail in 3 steps:

1. Log in to Gmail and click on the “Labs” tab in your Gmail account Settings. Scroll down to enable adding gadgets to your Gmail:

2. Once you have it enabled, go to the new “Gadgets” tab in your Settings and write the link of your Nozbe gadget:

http://www.nozbe.com/google/index.xml

3. That’s it – you have a new Nozbe Gadget inside your Gmail account:

Now you can browse your next actions, add actions, check projects… all within your Gmail!

Hope you like this new Gadget!

Remember that you can add the same Gadget to your Mac Dashboard or iGoogle, Netvibes page, you can use it through iNozbe page on your iPhone. We’ll be improving the gadget to make it even better :-)

Really like the New Gadget for GMail. I’m a new user to Nozbe and right now I’m only using the Free Account. So far it’s pretty great.

I have installed GTDInbox, and the new “Gadgets” tab does not show up in Settings. Any suggestions? Thanks for all the great work.

General idea: sweet. But I don’t quite like the current widget. It is just too big. And I don’t think all the features are needed in this very place.

Some compact list of next actions and QuickAction miniform would probably be enough. Plus link to open the main website.

And, for some reason, New Action form uses very big font for labels (at least in my FF3/Ubuntu). It just looks strange.

The font is still too large in my browser, too (FF3, Windows XP)

I’ll check the font if it can be even smaller. We’ll definitely tweak this widget and make it even better in the future. This was just a quick job to make it work in Gmail as soon as possible. Thanks for your feedback guys!

need something alike for mozilla thunderbird. gmail is limiting/cutting large E-Mails.

It would be great if it integrated with Thunderbird, but the direct integration should work better first and be more customizable. I.e., synched scheduling with Nozbe and Gmail, smaller fonts. Quick add (mentioned by Marcin).

Switching from Palm to Droid. Gmail at work, Nozbe and Note Everything. I like that Nozbe can be added to Gmail but as stated earlier font is too large. There needs to be better integration. I want to be able to drag an email to a project or a context. Not everyone has an iPhone or iPad. Thanks

Any idea when they will allow Labs/Gadgets in Google Apps domains?

:-)
Andrew 2 Nov 10 08:38

Aaron – I’ve got a Google Apps domain and have Labs and Gadgets. I think you need to grant permission for it in the domain settings.

Hi, is this still under development? I’d like to have the option to drag & drop an email to the actions folder, then getting a dialogue box to create the action.

Doesn’t work : the gadget don,t stop to go back to the incoming window and ask for email and password, even when the data are correctly entered.

I added the Nozbe gadget to Gmail. I have a large screen and a small font, I work better when I can see everything at once – there needs to be a way to size this gadget – it’s huge and I don’t like it.

Michael, I love that you have this gadget! The more integrated with other (especially Google for me) products, the better. Keep up the good work!

I too think the gadget it out of proportion. I’d also like to see a Calendar link in there.

Thanks!

Need to have Nozbe be integrated into Google Apps, not just a gadget or widget. Is this in the works? I have lots of labels and having this stuck under the labels isn’t convenient. I would also like to just have an email, and add it to a project, or attach a context to it, with date, time, and whatnot. I do love Nozbe, and it would be fantastic if it was integrated into Google Apps.

I installed the gmail gadget. The box appears with the inozbe title box at the top but not content appears. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Rich Hardt 13 Jan 12 19:52

Michael, really like the app. The font on the Nozbe Google gadget is still too big. It looks like you are jamming everything into the gadget. Just needs a little UI design work to make more usable. It would also be nice if I could convert an email to an task, simliar to google’s task. Keep up the great work!!!

NOT WORKING UNFORTUNATELY. Gmail shows the gadget but I can’t login. Too bad, I really wanted to use this one.
