Extended! Win a Nozbe account by downloading from Mac App Store - until Thursday, May 31st midnight EST time. Now includes Windows users, too.

As you know, last week our Nozbe Mac application finally appeared on the Mac App Store and it immediately hit top spots for apps in the "productivity" category! We are very excited.

Nozbe competition extended!

To share our excitement we announced a competition where you can win a Nozbe account for a full year. And now we extended this competition!

You can win a Nozbe account for a full year!

We extended the competition in two ways:

1) You have one more day so act now, before it's too late. Officially we'll close down the competition on midnight EST time (US time in New York) on Thursday, May 31st.

2) If you're a Windows user, you can participate as well! We've added additional Nozbe account prizes for our dear Windows users, too.

Although we initially only included the Mac users, now Windows users can participate, too. We want to give away lots of Nozbe accounts to thank you for your support everyone.

Step by Step - how to win a Nozbe account for a year

Step 1: Sign up for a Nozbe account (if you don't have one)

Step 2: Download Nozbe from the Mac App Store or if you're a Windows user, download Nozbe from our servers.

Step 3: Post a screenshot on our Facebook Wall from your Mac App Store app where it indicates that Nozbe is "installed" on your computer. If you're a Windows user, just post a screenshot of your desktop where Nozbe is visible in the dock (make sure not to show private data) :-)

Make sure to like us on Facebook, too.

That's it! But do you want to increase your chance of winning?

Here are two tips that will give you additional chances of winning a Nozbe account for one year:

Tip 1 - post a review (Mac only): If you post a review of our Nozbe app on the Mac App Store, you'll increase your chance of winning.

Tip 2 - spread the word (Mac + Windows): If you refer people to our original blog post through Twitter or (better) through your own blog, you'll increase a chance of winning as well.

If you blog about it, make sure to add your affiliate link at the end of the link like this: http://www.nozbe.com/blog/macappstore/a-YOUR_NOZBE_NICKNAME and you'll be able to get a commission, too. Plus we'll sort out additional Nozbe prizes among all the bloggers who blogged about it. Make sure to link to this post.

Please hurry, you have one day left - offer expires at Midnight on Thursday May 31st (USA EST). That means:

  • Thursday, May 31st Midnight in New York City,
  • Friday, June 1st at 6 AM in the morning in Madrid, Europe
  • Friday, June 1st at 1 PM in Tokyo, Japan

Please help us spread the word and win a full year of productivity for yourself and/or your team or company! Others have already done that:

Nozbe competition extended!

Next week we'll not only announce the winners but also launch our new mobile web app... so stay tuned! You'll not only win a full year of productivity but also a new web app optimized for your mobile smart phone.

3 steps to win: (1) Get a Nozbe account if you don't have one, (2) download Nozbe from the Mac App Store or from our site if you use Windows and (3) share on Facebook with a screenshot and a review and spread among your friends to increase your chance. Good luck!

Thank you so much!

The fastest Nozbe for Desktop (Mac and Windows) is there (version 1.1)!

When we’ve launched version 1.0 of Desktop we knew it wasn’t perfect but we knew it was good enough to already boost your productivity. I’ve been using it until a few days ago when I started testing version 1.1. And it’s great!

Speed, Speed and many improvements and fixes!

This new version of the app is now almost 3 times faster on Windows and sightly faster (and thinner!) on a Mac. We’ve used a new engine for getting our app right and it has paid off!

Windows: Download the fast and mighty Nozbe for Windows

Apple Mac: Download the updated and slimmer Nozbe for Mac

Note to Windows users – the application is not signed yet, we’re getting a new certificate now to sign the app so Windows might warn you that the app is “dangerous” etc. Don’t worry, just run the installer and you’ll be fine. Nozbe will only do good to your computer as it will make you more productive. We’ll try to release a new version without these warnings soon, but we didn’t want to make you wait even more. Other than that, the app is so fast it’ll blow you away. Trust me :-)

Note to Mac users – the application is compatible with Mac 10.6 and 10.7 – not 10.5 (let us know if you need it!) and has both the Japanese and English version enabled and works beautifully in both languages. New languages (Spanish, Polish and German) are in the works and will be there with the next update.

Note to all users – in this release we focused on speed, performance, minor features and bug fixes. New release with new features is just around the corner and is coming soon.

...but we did add just one more thing…

By popular demand we added alphabetical sorting of projects and contexts. Yes, a feature that’s been requested so many times and is “fully compatible with David Allen’s Getting Things Done” is there. It’s a toggle, so you can switch it on and off. You can’t manually reorder projects when in the alphabetical order mode, but you can switch it on with one click. If you have many projects, you’ll love this feature. I know I do. Thanks guys for suggesting it!

Again, in case you haven’t, go ahead and get your fresh Nozbe app:

Windows: Download the fast and mighty Nozbe for Windows

Apple Mac: Download the updated and slimmer Nozbe for Mac

What are others saying about Nozbe? What's new coming?

It’s been more than two weeks since we’ve launched Nozbe Desktop and we are preparing our updated version (we’ve been working like crazy to make it happen) with better proxy support, speedier interface (especially on Windows) and many many bug fixes that our users uncovered in the last two weeks. Stay tuned!

In the meantime we’ve received great feedback from our users and bloggers all around the web, here are some quotes and posts:

“The more I use Nozbe, the more I am impressed. It’s not perfect—and it’s not the least expensive—but it is better than anything else I have found on the market. The product is at once simple to use and yet full of numerous, advanced features. It is the only task management system I feel comfortable recommending.”
Michael Hyatt

“I’ve long held that Nozbe is the premier general purpose task management system, and much of the reason is that it has always been an easy to learn and use web-based application, available to both Windows and Mac users alike.”
John Kendrick

“...as I work with the desktop version of Nozbe, I am finding it in some ways easier. The best thing is that I have a choice. I can use the desktop when I need to or when I am not on my computer, I can log into the web, or even use my Android phone. This allows me to manage my day from anywhere at anytime. Nozbe is so much a part of my life, I would be lost without it.”
GTD Software.net

“Having tried just about every ToDo app there is, my preferred app of choice is Nozbe. I like the fact that I can use it anywhere on any device and have written extensive reviews as such. Nozbe, as a company, is also a great example of a group of developers who are using their business to do some good in the world. Their customer service flows out of a desire to serve the customer rather than simply acquire more users. Their new desktop version for both Windows and Mac is very promising.”
Michael St Pierre

“Insgesamt eine tolle Ergänzung der Funktionalität von Nozbe. Durch die Datenspeicherung auf den Servern von Nozbe kann man sich ja in jeder Situation aussuchen, welche Zugangsmöglichkeit man benutzt.”
Christian Pohle

“If the price is not a dealbreaker for you, there is much to like in the nozbe app. It has an attractive user interface, is easy to use, provides solid integration with evernote and dropbox and is compatible with david allen’s getting things done™ (GTD™) approach.”
Gilbert Van Hoeydonck

“I like a lot about the new desktop app. Working offline is a big help, and the ability to filter Next Actions by project or context is one of those things that drove me to write my own client! Not everything is there, but I can see where the missing items would fit. The new type # to enter context, project, date whatever is a wonderful addition…”
Michael Koehler

Thanks everyone for warm welcome for our desktop apps!

We’ve been working hard and we won’t stop there. New versions are coming with many improvements and welcome features… and all this very, very soon!

App of the Week: gSyncIt syncs Nozbe and MS Outlook!

Just a few days ago we brought you the Nozbe Desktop for Mac and PC and today I’d like to show you more desktop-oriented action thanks to a third-party tool by Fieldston Software that syncs Nozbe tasks and notes with Microsoft Outlook!

gSyncit – the missing link between Nozbe and MS Outlook!

David Levinson, the guy behind the app made something I’ve been waiting for so long (and many users have been asking for it) – he broke the silos between Outlook and web apps by syncing with many great apps that we also sync with, i.e. Drobox and Evernote… and now Nozbe!

The app is only $19.99 which is a small price to pay for a convenience of working with your favorite GTD tool together in your Mail/Calendaring part of the Microsoft Office suite.

I highly encourage you take gSyncit for a spin and let us know in the comments how your new “productivity flow” works with both Outlook and Nozbe.

Thanks David for an amazing product: gSyncit v.3

Note: “App of the week” is a regular column will be trying to keep here on the Nozbe blog about cool third-party apps that work with Nozbe using our Sync-API
